Storage Plus is an Australian owned business that established back in 1999. All four facilities are conveniently located within five kilometers of the city center.
The Lock Up is a secure and convenient storage facility located in a prime position on a main road in Bowen, near prominent businesses like Woolworths Petrol Plus. Established in 2006, it combines self-storage with a successful car wash, attracting high foot traffic and increasing visibility. The facility offers 135 sheds in sizes ranging from 1.2 to 28 square metres, with flexible rental options from one month. Security is a top priority, with video surveillance and perimeter fencing, while wide concrete driveways ensure easy access. The Lock Up provides a reliable, flexible storage solution with a focus on customer convenience and safety.

Their challenge was to convert an existing 430m2 existing building that was part of the site when it was originally purchased it, into several smaller storage spaces to meet demand. Consideration was given to go 2 story but was decided against being a small coastal town. We considered using a local shed supplier originally but decided to go with Janus instead, this was the best decision by far.
We worked closely with Erik at The Lock Up to understand his needs for expanding his storage capacity. After reviewing the requirements and discussing their objectives, we provided expert advice on the design of the extension, ensuring the new units would seamlessly integrate with the existing facility. Our team helped optimize the layout to maximize available space while maintaining ease of access for customers. This collaborative approach ensured that the design met both practical and aesthetic needs, aligning with the facility’s existing infrastructure.
Once the design was finalized, we took charge of manufacturing and installing the 15 new storage units. Our products were custom-built to meet the specifications and security standards required by The Lock Up. With attention to detail and a focus on quality, we ensured that the installation process was efficient and minimally disruptive to the facility’s daily operations. The result is a successful extension, providing The Lock Up with additional secure, high-quality storage options to meet growing demand.
